MEET THE HOSTS

Roger The Wild Child is a longtime broadcaster and interviewer known for his high-energy style, authentic storytelling, and deep love for radio. Raised in the north suburbs of Chicago, Roger’s passion for broadcasting sparked early—at just 12 years old—when he called into WGN Radio during an interview with Chicago Cubs legend Ernie Banks and had the chance to speak with “Mr. Cub” himself. That moment became the turning point that inspired a lifelong journey behind the mic. Roger began developing his on-air skills in high school, spending four years at his student-run station WMWA while taking broadcasting classes and pursuing every opportunity to learn the craft. He later attended Southern Illinois University, studying studio radio and television, and worked at the campus alternative station, WIDB, continuing to sharpen his voice and production experience. In the early 1990s, Roger moved to Arizona and launched his professional career on the air at Lucky 108 FM (rock) and Killer Country 98 FM in Bullhead City. He later returned to Illinois, working in country radio at B-104 in Bloomington/Normal before joining CIL-FM, Southern Illinois’ hit music station, where he also became part of the morning show team. Roger eventually returned to Bullhead City once again, working multiple dayparts at K-Flag Country, further expanding his versatility across formats and audiences. In 2000, Roger stepped away from radio to focus on family. More than two decades later, he felt the pull to return—only this time, he embraced the modern evolution of audio entertainment. In March of 2021, he launched his own show, starting with a small group of friends and quickly growing into a guest-driven interview platform. That shift led Roger into celebrity interviewing, where he developed a reputation for engaging conversations and memorable moments. Over time, Roger transitioned from Hollywood interviews to the Nashville scene, where he has established himself as a respected presence among artists, singers, and songwriters—interviewing rising talent as well as top names in country music. Whether behind the mic on-air or in the middle of a great conversation, Roger “The Wild Child” continues to deliver personality, passion, and real connection with every audience he reaches.
